This repository packages reference agents, skills, and data connectors for common financial-services workflows: investment banking, equity research, private equity, wealth management, and fund administration. It's built by Anthropic for firms already using Claude who want ready-made starting points for tasks like pitch decks, comps, DCF models, earnings notes, GL reconciliation, and KYC screening, rather than building these from scratch.
Everything ships from one source and installs two ways: as a Claude Cowork plugin for interactive use, or through the Claude Managed Agents API for headless deployment behind your own workflow engine. Both paths reference the same system prompts and skills, so behavior stays consistent regardless of where it runs. The repo is intended for firms that already have or plan to have Claude access and want to customize these templates to match internal conventions, not for teams looking for a plug-and-play investment platform.
/comps, /dcf, /lbo, /earnings, /ic-memo, and /teaser available directly in a Claude session once installed.agent.yaml templates, leaf-worker subagents, and steering-event examples for deploying agents via /v1/agents behind a custom orchestration layer.Use this repo if you work at a bank, research shop, PE fund, fund administrator, or wealth management firm already running Claude (via Cowork or the Managed Agents API) and want reference implementations for recurring workflows: building comps and LBO models, drafting CIMs and teasers, updating earnings models after a call, reconciling a general ledger, reviewing GP valuation packages, or screening KYC documents. It also fits teams that want to wire Claude into existing data platforms (FactSet, PitchBook, Morningstar, etc.) through the bundled MCP connectors rather than writing custom integration code.
It's not a good fit if you're looking for a finished, compliance-approved product you can deploy without review. The README is explicit that outputs are drafts for a qualified professional to check; the agents don't execute trades, post to a ledger, approve onboarding, or give investment advice. It's also not useful outside financial services workflows, and firms without any Claude deployment (Cowork or API access) won't have anywhere to run these plugins.
Start with the core financial-analysis plugin, then add named agents or vertical bundles.
Cowork: In Settings → Plugins → Add plugin, paste the repo URL https://github.com/anthropics/financial-services and pick agents/verticals from the marketplace list, or zip a directory under plugins/ and upload it.
Claude Code:
# Add the marketplace
claude plugin marketplace add anthropics/financial-services
# Core skills + connectors (install first)
claude plugin install financial-analysis@claude-for-financial-services
# Named agents
claude plugin install pitch-agent@claude-for-financial-services
claude plugin install gl-reconciler@claude-for-financial-services
# Vertical skill bundles
claude plugin install investment-banking@claude-for-financial-services
claude plugin install equity-research@claude-for-financial-services
Claude Managed Agents:
export ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=sk-ant-...
scripts/deploy-managed-agent.sh gl-reconciler
This resolves file references, uploads skills, creates leaf-worker subagents, and posts the orchestrator to /v1/agents. See scripts/orchestrate.py for a reference event loop handling agent handoffs.
After installing, tune the templates: swap .mcp.json connectors for your data providers, add firm-specific terminology to skill files, teach /ppt-template your branded layouts, and edit agents/<slug>.md to match how your team runs the workflow. Run python3 scripts/check.py before submitting changes to lint manifests and check for drift.
